I love this new blog Laura.
Thanks Jamie!
nice site. I like a lot of these places, but honestly, NOT the embassy. I know the price is good, but it’s filled with crazy kids off the leash, there is nothing around there. I have some not great memories taking my son there when he was little, just after renovation. Oh boy… give me Cabo any day. Not sure when you put this up, but every hotel is booked for V-day. However, I love you site, handy, very well done!
Hi Rhonda, thanks for your notes..it will help readers..and thanks for the kudos…what would be your favorite place, even if not listed? PS. Many of these hotels/trips are not booked yet…
The Galapagos but that won’t be happening anytime soon ha.. my kids want to go there so bad, but the air travel is where the real costs lie. These are all pretty amazing but when I checked a few hotels for a night in town, specifically on the water, they had been booked fora while.. but I love the water. If I am going to travel, it must include water lol but that is me…I also looked at rest of page, it’s really well done, as said, and had great info. My whole thing is kids… if I didn’t have them, I would be traveling a lot more. I noticed also among friends with kids, which is actually most, the airfare is out of control, so we all tend to use VRBO…a great though disorganized resource in finding incredible places (on the water) without having to drive. I am going to do a piece on the drive away get-a-way… but it’s family oriented. I’m sure you know VRBO, it would be a great piece if you distilled it down to some places people can drive to. I know you have some above, but there really is nothing like renting a super high end beach house along the coast. When you cut out air fare it still saves. Didn’t mean to go on so long, but I am ALL about getting out of town hahahah.
