Pismo Beach, California is located about three hours north of Los Angeles. While many drive through this coastal city on their way to other locations, it is certainly worth a visit, as attested to by photographers Anne and George Willis, who took these photos during a recent stay there.

Sunset at Pismo Beach

Photographer Anne Willis took this breathtaking view from her beachfront balcony at the Kon Tiki Inn. Though I live in a beach community Malibu , I found that Pismo Beach is sheer magic. There is something for everyone of all ages.Pets are welcomed. Walk, Workout on the beach, surf, paddle board, beachcomb, picnic, swim, spa's, shopping, drive your car on the beach, or rent recreational vehicles.

Monarch Butterflies in Pismo Beach

Photographer Anne Willis recommends this as a must see amazing migration of the Monarch Butterflies which is located at Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove , It's truly a wonder of the world and such a privilege to see this unique park. When I view this photo I think of Tiffany Glass at it's finest and from a distance it will fool your eyes as to what you are viewing. One look in the telescopes provided at the park puts one in a state of awe, no other words can describe this butterfly grove.

Surfing at Pismo Beach, California

While Malibu and places in California may be considered the prime spots to surf, Pismo Beach does offer some nice waves.
